Music Discovery in the Fediverse

As opposed to the streaming universe, which is compartmentalized silos, the fediverse is made up of a network of sites that could potentially network together to present music without having artists having to subscribe to all of what the article says are producers. The article is here:

The idea is to develop a protocol like RSS or ActivityPub that caters exclusively to music content. That way existing protocols wouldn’t be burdened with additional baggage.
