More Ghost Gripes

On the admin page for Ghost, there’s a section:

that is a primer for admins. ”Understanding analytics“ seems to be directed towards people with other than the starter plan, as the “analytics“ with the starter plan are really basic.

“How to get your content seen online” is kinda amusing because most low-cost promotions are rather ineffective and unless you’re ready to spend hundreds per month your alternatives are to use the social media you already have to poach users. And if your social media is like mine, most “followers“ are casual and not likely to go through the hassle of setting up a new account. I suppose that’s why people tend to set up blogs on Substack, because they’re a known quantity. Although, if you’re the least bit “woke”, Substack is a no-no because of their “ free speech” support of Nazi Substack.
