More Cruft From Bandcamp

Well, its year-end so Bandcamp has to bore us with their curated pick of music to listen to.

Bandcamp, even though it seems to be a favorite of indie musicians for their semi-decent payouts, seems to always promote artists I hardly call indie. I mean, when you have a producer, sound engineer, and professional recording studio in your life, we’re not talking low-budget. Bandcamp really pushes small labels and “professional” hangers-on. Their year-end compilation of stuff to listen to doesn’t disappoint. The same old collection of varieties of rock music, singer-songwriters, weird eclectic “music” and an odd rapster. No electronic music of any variety. It took me a couple of minutes to flip through the featured cuts, nothing sampled for more than 10 seconds. Boring.
