The $1.5 billion seems way too low by a couple of magnitudes. Theft is a cost of doing business. And it’s not more than a slap on the wrist as Anthropic has a market valuation of $183 billion. I would like to have seen them punished more severely, with them forced to detrain their AI along with the monetary penalty.
